September mantra
Hello loves,
Before we get into the august recap and the september mantra, here's a book recommendation for this month. Cleo Wade, my favorite writer and beautiful woman who has influenced this months mantra (creds to her) is coming out with her book "Where To Begin" in a couple weeks. You can pre order it online. It's "A small book about your power to create big change in our crazy world".
I hope you all had a great august. For me, august has been a month of personal growth and accepting change into my life. I've started new routines, with work and school starting. I've strengthend relationships with my good old friends. I haven't been this independent and self-reliant in a long time. I have also though, and this inspired this month's mantra, have ended things that were pulling me down, keeping me away from real change.
To invest in love is built on compromise and working with your partner to continuously evolve into our best selves. This simply is not possible without hard truths, tough conversations, personal growth, and especially behavior shifts. The ego does not like nor does it feel comfortable to be confronted with any of that. It feels attacked because it feels comfortable knowing it is always right and that our way of doing things is always the best way.

That's it for my august recap - let's look at this months mantra!
People we love are in our life to challenge us to rise to new levels of consideration and care in all that we do. But this only works in a two sided relationship. When people feed off of your energy for their benefit only, keeping you from real positive change, that's when you need to know when to stand up for yourself.
You keep yourself from real change, from the next level of consideration and care, if you choose to invest in people that are run by the ego. Like stated above, real love runs on selflessness, the ego runs on selfishness. There is no tough conversations, no personal growth, no behavior shifts in a person that is run by the ego. It is a dead end for your energy being used against you, but also for the person that is unwilling to built relationships on compromise and work. Once you realise that, you'll know that the only way out is to take away the fuel for this endless circle of disappointments. Make sure you are the reason you evlove into your best self. Invest in yourself instead of people that are run by ignorance. Know in what and whom to put in your energy for you are the only one to know what makes you happy and benefits you for the long run. For, and listen to this closely, genius is nothing more nor less than doing well what anyone can do badly.
You are your number one always. You've got to see reality as what it is, no matter how painful.
If something ended, it simply means it did not work out. Now, make something else work!
